Hosted by PS 39's Diversity & Inclusion Committee and sponsored by the PS 39 Parent Association, this second workshop will build upon the work in Workshop I, delve more into how children see race and give participants the chance to role play to learn and practice skills for approaching age-appropriate conversations using a racial equity lens.
NOTE: You do not have to have attended Workshop I in order to participate in this workshop! We will share documents from the previous workshop for you to review ahead of time. Thursday, April 4th- PS 39, Room 103 Arrival 6:00 – 6:30 PM, Workshop 6:30 – 8:30 PM Childcare and activities will be available for school-aged children in the cafeteria. A light dinner which will include gluten free & vegetarian options will be provided for participants and children in Rm 103. Just before the workshop begins, children can take their dinners down to the cafeteria. A variety of ticket options are available to ensure all who want to attend this important training can attend.
