Report cards and portfolios will be sent home with students on Tuesday, March 1. Families will have the opportunity to discuss their child's progress with the classroom teacher during our Parent Teacher Conferences. Conferences will be held on Thursday, March 3 by appointment from 12:30- 2:40 pm and 5- 8 pm. Additional conference slots will be available during Parent Engagement time (2:50 -3:20 pm) on Tuesdays, February 8, 15 and 23.
Families can make an appointment online using our online sign up HERE . Click on your child's class and select a spot that is convenient for your family. If you have any issues with available appointment times, please contact your child's teacher. It's time for the annual NYC Department of Education's School Survey! Parents will receive one survey for their child(ren) attending PS 39 during Parent Teacher conferences the first week of March. Parents may complete the paper survey or complete the survey online HERE using the unique code found on the paper survey. We hope all families will take the time to share their experiences at our school and provide information that will help . Your responses, along with those of other parents, will be reported and shared in the NYC School Survey Report, School Quality Snapshot and School Quality Guide. Due to rising enrollment in our mandatory grade levels (Kindergarten- Grade 5), PS 39 will be decreasing the number of Pre-K sections for the 2016-17 school year. Next school year, PS 39 will only have one section of Pre-k with a total of 18 seats. Historically, PS 39's two-section Pre-K program has filled primarily with in-zone families with siblings at the school (DOE priority 1). We encourage all families, including those zoned with siblings, to explore other Pre-K options in the neighborhood as they complete their application. More information about Pre-K in District 15 is available in the Pre-K directory HERE.
