PS 39 PTA School Supply Program

Take a break this summer and let your Parent Association do your Back to School shopping for you!  Once again our PTA will be offering a School Supply Program.  Families can view information about the program AND the school supply list on our Supply Information Packet.  Families can order supplies  by visiting the PS 39 SQUARE marketplace at https://squareup.com/market/ps39-parentassociation and place your order ONLINE.  

Teachers will receive a list in September of families that are participating in the School Supply Program.  Supplies will be provided to your child on an "as needed" basis throughout the school year!  Questions?  Please contact our Supply Chair person Marie Bache at  marie_bache@yahoo.co.uk.

CBE at PS 39 Registration Information for Fall 2015

Our onsite after school program run by CBE Kids has released their Registration Information Packet for Fall 2015 Term.  Registration will begin in Mid-July on the CBE website,  www.cbebk.org/afterschool.  The fall term will begin on Wednesday, September 16 and end on December 11.  Families can register their child from 1- 5 days per week.  Children enrolled in the afterschool program with CBE will be brought to CBE's location in  the cafeteria at dismissal by their classroom teacher.  

"What To Expect" Grade Level Orientations

On Tuesday, June 2 our amazing classroom teachers presented information during our "What to Expect in the Next Grade" Orientation Meetings.  The teachers provided information about instructional and social shifts, expectations for the next grade and tips for keeping your child "on track" over the summer.  If you missed these valuable information sessions, you can view the power point for each grade HERE on our curriculum page on ps39.org.

Spring Carnival and Art Show

The Carnival is coming!!  Our 6th Annual Spring Carnival will be at PS 39 on Saturday, June 13 from 12- 5 pm.  To help you get in the spirit, stop by Colson Patisserie (6th Ave at 9th Street) to see our amazing PS 39 Carnival Art Project.  Bid on great art and support our school.  The art show will be up until Carnival Day!  All art was created by local artists (including some favorite staff members) to benefit PS 39 and are available for purchase via silent auction.  Special thanks to all the participating artists- you are an inspiration!
