The purpose of the PS 39 Parent Association (PA) is to support our school by creating an environment that supports learning, diversity, community and family.

As a parent or guardian of a PS 39 student, you are a Member of The Parent Association. Our PA is what we make of it and our goal is 100% participation to give back to the school which gives so much to our children. Think about your interests and talents and how you can help make our busy year of events, activities and initiatives an exciting, rewarding and inclusive experience for all PS 39 families.
Our activities fall under three main categories:
Monthly General Members meetings provide families the chance to come together and socialize, hear Board, School and District updates and discuss issues and address concerns. Our meetings provide the opportunity to discuss new initiatives which help guide the future goals of our community as a whole.
General Members are encouraged to submit agenda items for these meetings using our Agenda Items Form or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org with any topics you have. We understand that many families are unable to attend but want to participate. Please know that your voice matters and we want to hear from you.
For the evening meetings, free child care is provided in the school cafeteria.

Executive Board meetings are held once a month and are open to PA members as observers.
