Join us on Friday, December 4th for a special Family Friday.  Instead of our normal Family Friday in December, we will be celebrating Grandparent and VIP Day to recognize the importance of our heritage, our community, and relationships across generations.

Our special day begins at 8:20 at Camp Friendship for a welcome breakfast.  Classroom visits will be from 9:00- 9:45 

A few reminders:

• Children may invite up to 2 grandparents/VIP's to this event
• Due to small classroom size, we ask that parents that have a guest attending allow that person to take their spot.

We also need volunteers to provide some breakfast treats and to assist at the event.  Parents can sign up HERE.

For Grandparents/VIP's that are not able to attend:
We recognize that it is not possible for all special guests to make it to our event.  We would like to invite all grandparents/ VIP's unable to attend to send a letter to their special child at the school's address. Please send it to your child's attention and include their teacher or room number if possible.  They will receive it on this special day!

Volunteer! Everyone can help make our book fair a success by handing out vouchers on the corners near the store. There are many afternoon and evening spots that need your help!  Sign up online here if you can lend a hand.

Bring a voucher to the cashier when you check out and a portion of your sale will go directly to PS 39.  Volunteers will be on the corners near the store handing out vouchers.

Our fifth graders will be busy wrapping your purchases for free!  All tips will be used towards the fifth grade activities at the end of the school year.

​The Nets are playing the Golden State Warriors at the Barclay's Center, and PS 39 will be there.  All tickets are in sections 117 and 118.  The game starts at 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 6th.

Please join us for a workshop with internationally recognized non­profit, Mission Be. This workshop provides parents with an overview of the research and buzz behind mindfulness, and how simple strategies can improve you and your child’s happiness, grades, relationships, and health in the home and at school. Mission Be’s engaging workshop will cover the development of children from preschool through high school.
