Is your kid interested in coding? CBE Kodu Coding Course is being offered on Fridays @ 2:45! One of our PS 39 students has been awarded a grant through the Disney Summer of Service program through Youth Service America. The grant money will be used to support a joint project between our Student Council and Green Team to adopt and improve the tree pits surrounding our school. Read the full press release HERE.
PS 39 is proud to host The Hour of Code Week starting December 5th-8th! The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. Anyone, anywhere can organize an Hour of Code event. One-hour tutorials are available in over 45 languages. No experience needed. Ages 4 to 104. All students in grades K-5 will get to experience coding at PS 39 this week. Starting in January, all students will continue to receive coding lessons once a month. Learn more on our SCIENCE page.

Experience the holiday season Borinquen-style, as the Grammy award-nominated musicians of Los Pleneros de la 21 present a musical celebration of Afro-Puerto Rican Christmas tradition. Tickets are $25 and includes a post-show meet and greet with the musicians and significant portion of the ticket sales goes directly to PS 39 PA! Tickets must be ordered by November 17

Our goal is to raise $125,000 to help support smaller class sizes,as well as school enrichments, such as teaching assistants, recess coaches, the NY Philharmonic partnership, theater visits, swim instruction, and much more.
