The Participatory Budgeting Process gives New Yorkers the power to decide how to spend tax dollars in our neighborhoods.Get involved at the local level and make your vote count. Learn about the neighborhood projects on the ballot here. To find a location close by go to http://bradlander.nyc/2017-2018-pbnyc-season Come celebrate Earth Day 2018 & Global Youth Service Day at PS39. We will lead a community service project that promotes green living in an urban environment through a school initiative in “Adopting our Neighborhood Trees” made possible by our 2017 Disney Summer of Service Grant and our 2018 Community Grant from the Park Slope Civic Council.
We encourage you to join us in this community service project. Our hope is that it will make Park Slopers a bit more greener, healthier and happier as they stroll through the neighborhood. We thank our grant partners and volunteers and know we could not do this work without your support. We will have bake goods for sale to help raise money for additional tree bed fences and future community projects. If you plan to get dirty be prepared and wear old clothing. Where: Camp Friendship , When: Friday, April 27th, Time: 6:30-8:30 pm (clean up done by 8:30)
Come dressed for spring and wear your best bumble bee, butterfly, flower, bug, or tree costume to dance the night away. Bake goods will be available for purchase as well as other trinkets. SIGN-UP here to volunteer. |
