Our annual talent show will be held on Wednesday, June 13 at MS 51.  We're looking for students interested in performing!  Auditions will be held in mid-April. Audition permission slips must be returned by Friday, April 13th.

• Auditions will be open to students in grades 2-5
• Approximately 20 acts will be selected for the show
• **New, creative and group acts are always encouraged!**
• Reminder for Audition - only need 30 seconds prepared/ Final Acts: 2 - 3 minutes max
• Children may audition for more than one act, but can only be selected for ONE (in this situation, group acts take priority over individual acts).

Pre-registration for 2018-19 Kindergarten has begun!  If you have received an offer for PS 39 from the Department of Education, please contact our Parent Coordinator, Karen Herskowitz ([email protected]/ (718)330-9310 ext. 1003) to set up an appointment.

At this time, PS 39 is maintaining an in-zone waiting list.  Due to high enrollment numbers we are not expecting to be able to offer any seats to families on our out-of-zone waiting list.

This workshop will review the Gr. 3 -5 NYS test format for English Language Arts (ELA) and Math and highlight important changes to this year's tests. We will also address questions regarding test participation.  PS 39 recognizes that test participation is a very personal decision that families make in order to do what they feel is best for their child and fully supports the decision that you make on your child’s behalf.

• ELA- April 11 & 12
• Math- May 1 & 2

UPDATE: Our community school project was a success because of the many families & friends of PS 39 that donated school supplies, backpacks and financial support. We are now able to ship our student-lead collected donations to the Domingo Massol School in Puerto Rico. We thank you!
