It's Time to Apply for Kindergarten!

If your child was born in 2011 and you live in NYC, it’s time to apply to kindergarten. You can submit an application from December 7, 2015 through January 15, 2016. 
All families, including those of students with disabilities and current pre-K students, must submit an application in order to receive a kindergarten offer. You can update your application until the January 15 deadline.

• Apply Online: Create an account and submit your application. Online applications are accepted until Friday, January 15, 2016 at 11:59pm. Families must use their own email address to apply online. If you do not have an email address and/or do not wish to provide an email address, please apply over the phone or in person. 
• Apply Over the Phone: Call us at 718-935-2400 between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Phone applications are accepted until Friday, January 15, 2016 at 6:00pm.
• Apply In Person: Visit a counselor at a Family Welcome Center from 8:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday. Applications are accepted until Friday, January 15, 2016 at 3:00pm. Family Welcome Centers are closed December 18 and December 24, 2015 through January 4, 2016.

Interpretation services are available in more than 200 languages for the over-the-phone and in-person options. Please request an interpreter if you speak a language other than English.
