Consent to Testing
The most important step we need parents to take prior to their children returning is for them to go into NYC Schools Account (NYSCA), and resubmit your consent for testing. If you have questions about testing, please reach out to Rudi ([email protected]) or to me ([email protected]). Even if you previously selected yes, please go in and resubmit your consent. All families whose child is in-person needs to resubmit testing consent in NYSCA. You must provide consent by selecting "Yes" in order to attend in person.

Health Screening for Entering the School Building
To ensure everyone’s safety and well-being, all DOE employees, visitors, and families must complete a health screening before entering DOE facilities. This health screening must be completed on each day of arrival and results will reset at midnight of each day. A paper version of this survey is available upon request.
Please note that if you meet any of the following conditions, you will be denied access to the building.

Testing in Schools
Keeping school buildings open depends upon awareness of and immediate action on any COVID-19 concerns in our buildings. To do this, we need students and staff in our buildings to get tested! That’s why we’re bringing testing directly into schools beginning in October 2020. Our testing partners will come to district schools, every month, and test a randomly selected group of staff and students from grades 1-12. The number of people to be tested will depend on the size of the school, but will consist of 10-20% of a school’s population each month, students and staff included. Schools throughout the city will be tested every day for the remainder of the month.
