A Message from Ms. Panag:
One of the joys of elementary school is that I get to see families in many spaces such as arrival, school trips, Family Fridays, and other celebratory school events. You often hear me say that I have a learning stance. Where I listen to the community - parents, students, staff, and then thoughtfully respond to the needs of the school. I have met many parents, and heard and responded to questions, concerns and comments. I am delighted to share the launch of "Coffee with the Principal" starting this month. This is the first of monthly meetings where I have an informal space to engage with families. I"ll hope you'll come enjoy a morning of conversation and coffee with me on Thursday, November 21 at 8:30 am in the cafeteria. We will host a special event for our extended family members on Friday, December 6 to help our students explore and celebrate the important role extended families have in their lives. Students are encouraged to invite a grandparent or other important person in their life to come in as a visitor to their classroom to help us learn more about our extended PS 39 family on this day. Please have guests RSVP online by Tuesday, December 3.
Please review this FAQ about the event to learn more. Please note: due to our small classrooms and to support the theme of this event, parents are not able to visit the classrooms on this day. Summary of Changes:
