AFTER SCHOOL 

At PS 39 there is a variety of after school opportunities available to the students.  If you are interested in learning more about the programs use the contact information and further links provided. 

Due to the pandemic, PS 39 will not be hosting in-person after school programs in our building.  Please contact all other programs to learn more about their plans for after school programming for this school year.


CBE KIDS AFTER SCHOOL AT PS 39

PS 39 offers on-site after school care for our students in K-5 through CBE Kids.  Congregation Beth Elohim’s After School Program at PS 39 offers children a wide variety of instructional classes and recreational activities in a safe and caring environment.  The program operates on a trimester basis and is offered to students in grades K-5. Please contact our CBE site supervisor for PS 39, Janai Stroude (Jstroude@cbebk.org) and Zaina Reyes (zreyes@cbebk.org) with questions.

PS 39 ROOKS CHESS CLUB AND TEAM

Our afterschool chess program serves as a companion program to our  in-school chess instruction.  After school chess is open to students in grades K-5. The chess program will be held on Mondays and Thursdays from 2:40- 4:45.  Children can register to participate on either day or enroll in both days.  To learn more about the program, visit our Chess Page.   For registration information, visit the Treasure Chess website: treasurechess.org

Kids of TAC After School are hands-on classes in the textile arts. Our program runs from 3pm - 6pm* Monday - Thursday. Pick up is available at PS 39 on Wednesdays only. The Coding Space​
At The Coding Space students learn to tackle challenges independently, through learning to code. With a 4:1 student to teacher ratio, we provide a space for students to build their own coding projects while developing intellectual confidence, a growth mindset, and computational thinking skills.
